Summary: Circle in Circle is an offline-first app. Your pattern designs and preferences are stored locally on your device. We use Firebase Analytics to understand general usage patterns. We do not collect personal information, require accounts, or sell any data.
Data We Store
App preferences - Language selection, settings toggles (layer transforms, auto-save, compositions). Stored locally via SharedPreferences.
Saved compositions - Pattern designs you save are stored locally on your device.
Auto-save data - If enabled, your current session is saved locally so it can be restored.
Gallery onboarding flag - A simple flag to track if you've seen the gallery introduction.
Data Storage
All user data is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage (web) or SharedPreferences (mobile). No data is transmitted to our servers. Your pattern designs never leave your device.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics (by Google) to understand how the app is used. This collects:
Anonymous usage events (e.g., patterns drawn, features used)
General device information (platform, screen size)
App version
This data is anonymous and cannot identify you personally. We do not collect advertising IDs. You can learn more about Google's data practices at Google Privacy Policy.
